Tip #1: Sign up by clicking the sign up link at the top right hand corner of the page.
Tip #2: Create a detailed profile so that other members can read as much information about you and your company as possible. Uploading a photo will help members put a face to a name. You can even add a copy of your capability statement to your profile (which we highly recommend). The capability statement needs to be in an image file to be uploaded. Simply click on the camera icon.
Tip #3: Explore the discussion forum and blog to view the topics that you can engage in conversation with other members.
Tip #4: As you are perusing the discussion forum and blog, get involved by making comments, asking questions, providing feedback, sharing personal experiences, etc. If you notice any posts that are of particular interest to you, click on the 3 dots arranged vertically at the top of the post and select "follow". You will be notified of any comments added to that post.
Tip #5: If another member's post catches your attention, click on their name and read their profile to determine whether you want to follow them or possibly do business with them. You can choose to follow any member of the discussion forum.
Tip #6: Go to the Networking page (or click on the people icon) regularly to see the profiles of all members including new members. Follow anyone of interest to you so that you can be immediatley notified when they have posted a comment.
Tip #7: Click on settings (gear icon) to adjust what you would like to be notified about. If you are getting too many notifications, adjust what you are being notified about and how you would like to be notified about them.
Tip #8: Click on notifications (bell icon) to view the notifications of interest to you and any alerts that have been sent out.
Tip #9: Be professional and courteous to others. Abide by the rules of the discussion forum. As moderator, it is my job to monitor the comments to ensure that the discussion forum is inclusive, friendly, and beneficial to all members. It is also my job to find and post fresh information that the membership can use and keep it organized in a way that makes the information easily located. Furthermore, it is my job to recruit as many members as possible to ensure that there is a wealth and diversity of knowledge being shared and partnerships being formed.
